The Pencil Test

I had never heard of this store and I found it because I received a mailer that said I could try a certain bra on there, if I didn't want to order online. I struggle mightily with bra fitting and I thought this was like an answer from the heavens. I was not disappointed. Holly helped me figure out the right size and style of bra and explained how to properly wear it as well. I am a customer for life. Fantastic experience all around.

We are so lucky to have Pencil Test in PDX! First time at the new, air conditioned, store on MLK. Fabulous service as always. Eliza is an excellent fitter (have never had an unskilled fitter here) and very quickly understood the styles / shape I was looking for and was very honest about what works, and doesn’t, to create that shape. Very friendly and helpful as I tried many bras, her selections helped me branch out into styles that look great but I wouldn’t have identified on my own. Great store and people, thanks as always!

This was, hands down, the best bra fitting/shopping experience I have ever had. They were short-staffed but the owner was helpful and kind the entire time. She gave me many helpful and fun suggestions and made me feel comfortable. I will always come here from now on for my bras. Nordstrom will never again get my business! The staff here is so kind and helpful, I can't stress enough how lovely the owner was and how helpful she was in fitting me. I feel so confident in my new bras that fit me and make me feel and look great!

5 stars doesn't match the emotional and physical support that the Pencil Test provides. I used to dread shopping for bras but I always walk out of the shop feeling better than when I walked in.

This place was amazing. The customer service was outstanding, The shop was welcoming, The attendance were knowledgeable and friendly. I was very anxious to be fitted for my first bra and the people working at this store made it painless made it fun and made me feel very good about myself. That is not an experience that can be said for a lot of places as a transwoman. I look forward to shopping there for many more years. And I cannot recommend them enough.

We had Eva and Abby as our bra fitting help. They were both super amazing. We both left with several bras each thanks to their knowledge and friendly attitudes! I appreciated being shown items from the sale rack as well as regular priced items. Thank you for always being amazing!
